About us
At Climb Any Mountain, we are driven by our passionate belief that people with an intellectual disability and mental illness should have equal rights and opportunities in society.
We are committed to empowering organisations to deliver person-centered services for the people we support and most importantly, to ensure that services actually result in a better quality of life.
At the moment those we support are in dire need now more than ever. Due to having no funds for phone data and basic personal protection equipment (PPE), it’s been extremely hard for care workers to check-in and support residents in mental health institutions in South Africa. This has caused only basic remedial care to be given, ie feeding and giving medications. These times are hard for everyone but especially for those who are vulnerable and very isolated.
We know since COVID19 times are financially tough for a lot of people, but we are asking if you could spare a few pounds regularly a month to donate. For example, just £5 per month for a commitment of 2 years (£60 per year) could help a social / care worker with broadband and phone data so they can conduct regular virtual check-ins and even run virtual activities. It would also contribute toward vital PPE so that staff can physically check in on residents and deliver person-centered care safely without putting themselves at risk.
As a UK based charity we are also proud to partner with Mencap and Therap to offer a comprehensive package of training, implementation and support for service delivery providers. Mencap is the UK’s largest and leading provider of services for intellectual disability in the UK. Therap is the world’s leading electronic documentation solution for organisations supporting people with disabilities.
